Edging

Edging plants define the line between path and planting. They should stay neat at the front, tolerate occasional footsteps and string-trimming mistakes, and not vault into the lawn in one season.

Choose compact lavenders and foliage plants that hold a low silhouette. Tall mid-border stars belong behind the edge, not on it.

What matters most for Edging

1. Keep mature height low enough to read as an edge, not a hedge.
