Trees

Trees usually hold one main trunk and a canopy. This list mixes small garden trees and large shade trees. A patio tree and a street tree are not the same plant.

Open a profile for mature height and spread. Planting a tree for a courtyard means reading those numbers first.

When a tree is the right form

1. You need height and shade, or a single woody specimen, not a multi-stem shrub.
2. Check mature size on the profile before the hole goes in.
3. Some trees flower; the profile still carries mature size and site.
